At just 15 minutes, this helicopter tour allows you to get a quick taste of the Sedona area’s famous red rock formations and stunning attractions. You’ll fly past Lee Mountain and soar over the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a famous chapel built in the 1950s that rises dramatically from the red rocks. See the Three Nuns rock formation and then fly past more natural sights, including Snoopy Rock, Steamboat Rock, Bear Wallow Canyon and Schnebly Hill Road.

After you’ve been picked up from your Sedona hotel and have boarded your helicopter, your thrilling 15-minute journey starts as you fly past Lee Mountain and head to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an impressive Catholic chapel that was built in 1956 on Coconino National Forest land and is one of Sedona’s most popular attractions. The chapel rises 250 feet (76 meters) out of a massive red rock formation and blends in wonderfully with its natural surroundings. Catch a glimpse of the Three Nuns, a red rock formation that looks like three nuns praying outside.

Next, soar past Snoopy Rock, named because it resembles the loveable Peanuts character, and Steamboat Rock before flying over Bear Wallow Canyon. Then look down on Schnebly Hill Road, an old stagecoach route from the late 1800s that was named after Sedona Arabelle Miller Schnebly, Sedona’s namesake and the city’s first postmaster.

Visit one of Sedona's earliest and best-known monuments on this 55-minute tour of the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Constructed in the 1940's as a prominent landmark above the surrounding red rock desert. You’ll travel there by historical trolley and snap photos of the vista. Visit Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village along the way.

Commissioned by Sedona resident Marguerite Brunswig Staud in the 1940's as a place of worship and a testament to her Catholic faith, the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona was originally planned as a project for a Hungarian nunnery in Budapest. After the onset of WWII made it impossible to travel and construct the project, Staud decided to proceed with construction in her adopted city of Sedona where she placed the prominent landmark above the highway overseeing much of the surrounding countryside.

Your visit to this iconic monument will begin with an afternoon pickup from a central Sedona location near many downtown hotels and a prominent shopping district. After loading the historic trolley, you will meet your driver and guide for the 55-minute tour. As you head out, you will learn local history of the town of Sedona and hear tales of the Hollywood bigwigs, actors, and celebrities who have called the town home over the decades.

Before reaching the chapel, you will see the Tlaquepaque Shopping Center, famous for its fine dining and world-class arts and crafts galleries and boutiques. Heading up to the chapel, you will have a short stop for photos and exploration before heading back to the trolley for a short drive back to downtown Sedona for your drop off.
