We do not recommend the tours for people who are unsteady on their feet. Guests should be able to walk up and down a set of stairs and nimbly jump off a curb without assistance. Guests will stand for 45 minutes to an hour and a half on the Segway. Adventures Out West cannot fully determine a guests ability to ride a Segway. By signing the waiver, guests acknowledge they have taken necessary steps to determine their ability level. Reckless or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. From there, you will travel through historic Clarkdale, built by Senator Clark who owned the largest copper mine in Jerome. Clarkdale was designed as one of the first company towns in the United States. Next, begin your 1800 foot ascent up Mingus Mountain into Jerome. You will experience some of the most panoramic and awesome vistas anywhere in Arizona. Your guide will narrate historic stories and legends about this former Billion Dollar Copper Camp once known as “The Wickedest Town in the West”.
